Project Logo
A Pan Africa Bean Research Alliance (PABRA) study conducted in Uganda in December 2025 on Precooked Dehydrated Beans (Harvguard) and Composite bean flour where both products required structured market activation and consumer acceptability testing to generate robust evidence for improved promotion, uptake, and scale. The study was under the Alliance of Bioversity and CIAT, working with public and private partners to develop, promote, and scale bean-based innovations across Africa. Through the Scaling for Impact (S4I) initiative, PABRA collaborated with the Food Biosciences and Agribusiness (FBA) Center of the National Agricultural Research Laboratories (NARL) under the National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO) to support the study.
